Dear Ms. Johnson,
I’m so sorry for my delayed response.
Your problem may have been already solved but let me explain your symptom.
There may be tow possible causes. One is myokymia which is neuromuscular manifestation mostly due to asthenopia (eye fatigue) . This symptom lasts for two weeks and sometimes six months. Another is hemifacial spasm due to a cerebrovascular compression to the facial nerve (cranial nerve VII) .
The former may leave without treatment, but if the symptom is strong, eye drops and/or oral medicine is prescribed.
The latter is symptomatically treated with a Botox toxin injection or with a microsurgical vascular decompression as a radical treatment.
